Rhinebeck Bound

Off to Rhinebeck tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the Hitchhiker Scarf won't enjoy all the fibery goodness, the llamas and alpacas, the sheep, the sheepdog trials, the Punkin' Chuckin', the fried whatevers--that's going to be Revontuli's job.

Between it being a busy week and untangling those 24 grams of horror, I just couldn't finish the Hitchhiker in time. Since this was to be my "Rhinebeck knit," I guess I'll just have to wear it next year!

Pretty Sight

Is there no prettier sight than a cat and a shawl sunning themselves?

The Revontuli Shawl is going to the Knitters Review Retreat and needed a bath and a blocking. Miss Kippy, as usual, supervised the blocking.

See ya in Williamstown, MA!

Mid-February Blahs

For me, mid-February is the blahest time of the year. It's cold. Snow is still possible. I'm tired of my winter clothes. The snow on the ground is dirty.

So it's real nice to be able to wrap myself in something new!

The snow is from upstate. The scarf is the Reventuli Shawl being used as a scarf.

Streeeeeetched

Is there no prettier sight than a shawl being tortured blocked?

The last time I pulled and tugged so much was when I put on a pair of Spanx. Both Revontuli and I yelled and screamed and punched back--but look at this point--

Well worth the torture!

BTW, there's a Revontuli Knit-Along that just started in Ravelry. The group is the Kauni Shawl Knit-Along.

A Pleasant Day

It was 30 degrees outside and I didn't have to go outside.

I had the Revontuli Shawl to knit

and Christmas cards to write.

And, best of all, the hubster made a yummy cold-weather dinner!

Nope, nothing to snit about here!
