Sheep and the City

Yesterday, in a park in the middle of Manhattan

trees were adorned with felt

roving cascaded from a fountain

and sheep appeared!

Thank you, Prince Charles, for promoting wool which made this event possible!

Such an occasion brings out the fiber folk

and their beautiful handmade sweaters and shawls

Hi, Lisa, and your lovely tunisian crochet shawl! (And don't you love her hat?!)

My favorite yarn store, Knitty City, took over a corner of Bryant Park and Tahki Stacy Charles provided yarn for those making afghan squares.

Hi, Pearl!

What a perfect fibery afternoon!

What a wonderful post, and thanks for sharing the event. I'll bet it was glorious fun!

We can't have sheep but we can have two mini goats in our urban yards since a new ordinance was passed. Chickens are legal now, too.

What a beautiful day. Weather just perfect for day out and about especially with all the fiber fun around. Looks like everyone was enjoying themselves. I loved all the photos, but especially that first one. Thanks for posting so many.
