It Socks to be Me

I have a confession. . . . I like sock yarn. NO, NO, NO--I don't like sock yarn, I love, adore, worship sock yarn. Sock yarn is my goddess. My be-all and everything in life. I walk into a yarn shop and I'm a magnet for sock yarn.

Another view:

That's enough yarn for 30 pairs of socks. I'm sure you're thinking, "Gee, that isn't so bad." However, how many socks have I actually knitted? 4 and a half pairs. Yes, folks, in the four years that I've been knitting, I've averaged a pair a year.

Hmmmm. . . . getting out the calculator and the actuarial table, it seems that I've achieved SABLE. (Stash Acquistion Beyond Life Expectancy)

Here's an example of double SABLE:

That's sock yarn I inherited from my Mom's yarn stash. My mother inherited that yarn from her friend. We're talking antique sock yarn. Look at that price tag--39 cents!

My Mom's friend passed away about fifteen years ago and I wonder how long she had that yarn. And I think I better add the sock yarn stash to my will.

Onto something lighter and cuter. DeFeet of Cuteness

DeSnit of DeDay:

It's a warmish sunny day out. Am I going to get out and about and enjoy it? Noooooooo! Ms. Procrastinator has put off till the absolute last moment some work that needs doing. I woulda, coulda, shoulda done this two weeks ago. I woulda, coulda, shoulda done this two days ago. AAAARGH!
