(Yes, I saved the receipt and booklet because
The Mac Quadra 660AV was considered state-of-the-art in 1994.
Compare that to my brand-new baby.
This is like comparing slow knitting me to Miriam Tegels or comparing a teeny, tiny shoebox of a Manhattan yarn store such as Purl SoHo to a ginormous, sprawling store such as 21,000 sq.ft WEBS
I've fallen in love with (just about) every computer we've had since 1994. Since they were the first-born, there's a special place in my heart for the Quadra 660AV and my first laptop. But, this new MacBook Pro--OH MY! There's just so much to fall in love with.
The backlit keyboard-what a genius idea for middle-aged insomniacs. And klutzy me really appreciates the MagSafe power connector. Plus it's pretty, speedy and smart--what's not to love?

You are right. What's not to love! Jobs (and co.) is a genius and they know how to do everything just right and how to make using a pleasure.
Way cool! Enjoy your new addition!
I'm saving for a new laptop and I think it might be an iBook. I don't think quite as nice as this but I am kind of excited to try something different. We'll see.
Isn't it great?!? We got ours about a month ago and I'll never go back to a Windows/Microsoft based PC. :-)
The cake and pies look delish!
Oh I'm jealous! I'm sitting here on the couch reading blogs with my MacBook. Nice, but it ain't a Pro. Enjoy!
Better late than never, right? I'm on board the Apple train! And yes, everything you pointed out is so great. I didn't even know about the backlit keyboard when I bought it. Imagine my delight and surprise!
