Brooklyn Adventure

Yesterday, I crossed the river to Brooklyn and checked out a yarn store there.

Brooklyn General--how cute is this store?

They carry fabrics--modern and vintage.

and wonderful yarns!

I kept walking around and around the store because just when I thought I had seen everything--I found something else!

I'd love to sit in this rocker and knit for a while.

But the best part of this Brooklyn adventure was getting to meet and hang out with two visiting from out-West, very-talented sisters: Becky and Jan.

Becky and I have been reading each other's blogs for a while. It was no surprise that, in person, she's just as warm, smart and engaging as she in my computer. And, Jan, I didn't know you had a blog! You've got a new reader now!

We had a great time, too, and it was so much fun meeting you. Thanks for making the trek, and for the pastries, as well!

I've never seen that much yarn! Sounds like a good time. Blog friends are today's version of pen pals, I guess! Getting to meet one in person is a big deal.

Oh, it looks like such a great store. What a FUN day. I think I now have yarn store envy and I'm sure I have rocker envy. Love that squirrel piece on the back of the rocker. Great pictures.

AHA! I wondered if you would get to meet them. I didn't--boohoo. Glad you were able to get together! How fun! And yes, I read Jan's blog too. Yet another talented lady.
