The multi-talented Sonja has a lovely entry that includes a couple of links to the 1913 Easter Parade. Hop on over there and take a look!
She also mentions that in years past, I've taken photos of some of the fancy hats worn. The Easter Parade is a wonderful NYC event. People walk up and down 5th Avenue wearing beautiful, dramatic and goofy hats!
Oh yeah, I do love NY!
Have a Happy and Blessed Easter!

Great pictures. I love, especially, the two women at the top; very stylish and also very happy.
Fun pictures of fun hats! And I love the 1913 ones. My grandma could have been there then she had some crazy hats in her pictures.
Your blog makes me so homesick.
thank you for the wonderful photos, DH didn't believe there really is an Easter Parade and he grew up in Yonkers. I love the decorated basket ( used to sell Longaberger) with all of the flowers
The basket hat wins the prize, but I'm also sort of partial to the hat with the purple peeps on it. I never eat the things but I have to marvel at their indestructibility.
I've never had the pleasure of seeing either the parade of the hats. Wow! thanks for doing this post of the Easter Parade hats!
