The Summer Lake Shawl is being packed up--still on the needles!
Didn't get much done on it this week.
But there were books read, ice cream eaten, sunsets watched,
ducks kept track of, flowers sniffed,
a dog played with,
black fly bites to be miserable about (I have photos--believe me, you don't want to see them!)
The Summer Lake Shawl--off the needles--and the lake will meet again next year.

Oh yes ... I'd forgotten about the black flies! Hate those nasty critters. They should be gone this time of year, but the damp weather has probably made them hang around longer. My mom used to bundle up to mow the lawn with a contraption on her head that made her look like a beekeeper!
Looks like a lovely cabin complete with your own dock! I'd be sitting out there sipping on wine, wearing your most lovely mosquito net shawl from your previous post! ;)
Your shawl looks lovely too. That's a lot of knitting! I finally picked up my needles again this week to finish the other half of the scarf I started. Now I just have to kitchener stitch it together which I don't know how to do. I will probably take it to my LYS and have them show me how.
Still on the needles? That means you had a great vacation. Except, of course, for the black flies. Welcome back to civilization and John's Pizza. :)
Vacation knitting doesn't always progress as fast as you hope it will. The upside is that it allows you to have vacation memories associated with project.
Happy knitting!
