4th Report

J is for the July 4th celebration in NYC!

On the 4th of July, we ate some cookies

looked at NYC through a porthole

saw Tiki Barber and Rob Thomas up close

admired the red, white and blue Empire State Building. (Photo thanks to the hubster.)

And, OH YES, we saw fireworks! (More terrific photos from the hubster.)

Next year, I want to wear these shoes!

Looks like so much fun. But those shoes are killing my feet just looking at 'em.

PS If you are ever in the area, you come on ever. I will share my chairs with you, and we will sit and knit a spell together.

That was a fun look at the 4th in NYC, as always.

I want to see pictures when you wear those shoes!

Love the pictures, especially the Empire State Building all lit up in red, white and blue. Looks like it was a very fun evening.

Happy 4th! Did you ask where she got the shoes?

I am so jealous! However, Rick's boss who watched from the Hoboken side was kind of disappointed that he couldn't hear the fireworks as well as in previous years. Plus he was complaining about the lack of grand finale, but I thought the whole thing was kind of the grand finale! :)

Did I mention that I tried your strawberry trick? I had teeny little strawberries from the farmer's market that it worked like a charm on! I would never had been able to cut the tops off and save most of the strawberry without it! Invaluable!
