Strike Up the Band

One 4th of July tradition is to gather in a town's square and listen to a local band play patriotic tunes.

New York City is no different from other places. We meet in a town center

and listen to a local group play soul-soaring, uplifting music

We just seem to do things on a bigger scale here!

The concert was fabulous! In this video, the conductor describes the program and you'll also hear a few snippets of the music.

Wishing everybody some beautiful music this weekend!

Thanks for a little glimpse. I love the pictures and I know the music must have been fantastic. The Armed Services Medley is always moving. Happy 4th of July (about 45 minutes early).
