G is for

GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS.

In a previous entry, I noted that A is for Albany and, since Albany is the Capital of NYS, the business of Albany is government.

Hubster and went up to Albany this past weekend -- an old city that doesn't lack for government buildings!

The gothic Capitol and the Corinthian columns of the NYS Education Building:

The deco Alfred E. Smith Building

A few of the buildings in the modern Empire State Plaza

G is also for Governor and

the Governor's residence

Great post! I enjoyed the link. That is some Capitol building. I doubt I ever get to Albany so this has been my own personal tour.

I've been on blog tours all day. This one is the closest to home I've never been to Albany, even though it's so close. There are some beautiful buildings there and your pictures are wonderful.

I agree, you have great pictures! I loved it!

When we were in NYC, we were walking past City Hall and had to stop for the mayor to turn in the gates in his motorcade. We watched him walk up the front steps.....big highlight!
