It's a Beginning

The other day, a friend gave me this sweet ornament that she made. Can you see the sparkles in the red yarn? I love it!

However since we don't put up our Christmas tree or decorate until this weekend, I've kept it on the OttLite all week.

Christmas cards haven't been written yet. Presents are not yet bought. This little stocking, instead of mocking me for my procrastination, gives me hope that I'll pull it all together. Soon.

It's beautiful. It's so comforting to know there's someone out there who didn't have their tree up on the day after Thanksgiving :)

Mary this is the cutest thing. A lot of good work in that small stocking. Lots of goodwill, too, I'm sure. It cheers me up just looking at it. Take it easy with all the remaining tasks and ENJOY the season. I know you will.

The stocking is so cute! i love the fair-isle knitting on something so small. Is that a garter stitch cuff? I like how it finishes the edge.
