Two scarves seen on Pier 86 in NYC during the commissioning of the USS New York on Saturday: (More about that tomorrow.)
This looked to be a very well-loved handknit, basketweave stitch scarf: (Click photos to get a better view.)
And a fun, colorful scarf. Perhaps somebody's first knit project?

Must have been an exciting, emotional, and memorable event. And chilly, too maybe. Not quite scarf and hat weather here.
How wonderful that you could be there to see the USS New York.
